One of my favorite quotes is “Most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.” It’s by Abraham Lincoln. He certainly should know. He had an incredibly challenging life. He wasn’t born with a silver spoon or as American “royalty” like some of today’s politicians. He suffered physically and emotionally. At any rate, his circumstances could have turned him bitter and hateful, but instead he chose to make up his mind. Do you believe happiness is a choice?
